Dear Allison Weiss Poster Hanger,

I really wish I knew who you were, so I could do this properly. You have no idea what the implications of your actions were. You may not remember this, but in early October of 2008 you came into the Boggs hand scanner area, illegally posted an Allison Weiss CD release poster, and quickly ran off. I was sitting in the lobby and I watched you, and when you left I got up to look at it.

Dear Allison Weiss,

Thank you for liking pancakes and being a good graphic designer. Your black and white pancakes poster made me want to listen to your music. I can’t say why. When I first listened to your EP tracks I thought it was pretty okay, but your CD release show date conflicted with me going home so I just downloaded the Live in NYC album instead. I found myself loving the parts where you weren’t singing so much that I really wanted to see you live. Your awkward jokes, stories, and musical fuckups made me love you. This song, “I Don’t Wanna Be Here”, isn’t as good unless you fuck it up. So don’t practice anymore okay?

This is to the both of you. Thank you, you have changed my life.
